Wrong. It is still there, but I disabled the timer code. FlashWindow()
is only called *once* any time it should do the flashing. So it won't
invert that often any more but that wasn't regularly anyway. And
re-activating the window takes no code on Psi side which showed no more
display errors to me (like that the taskbar button remained inverted
when I only activated the chat window for a short time say <0.5s).

There has been discussion about it on the forums:

You get a * in the caption and the title bar (task bar button) of the
chat window will flash when a new message arrives while the chat window
is not active/focused. This also works when you minimise the window with
the minimise button from the chat window's title bar - but it didn't
when minimising the window by simply clicking the task bar button on the
active window (which is very handy when checking the window and putting
it away again). You heared the sound [1] but that's all. michalj found
out the problem is only visible with Qt 3.2.x. And this is a work-around
until Qt is fixed (if it ever will be or it's not even a Windows bug).
It's only that single line at the end...
