Ok.

Agreed.

Uhuh.

Yup. This is one of the things we can probably get an agreement without
having too much discussion. As far as i'm concerned, the 2 sets currently
on the table are MRay's and Crystal. I don't have any strong feelings
about a choice between them. I have some specific icons of MRays set
that i personally think need some work, and in general i think it's a
little bit 'cold', but that's about it. I could live with that one as a
system set :) The Crystal iconset on the other hand might have a little
bit too much of a KDE feel to it, since the icons are exactly the same
(contrary to the crystal roster iconset, which have been modified quite
a bit).

Softened stellar seems the way to go, looking at most people's
reactions. Since i have scripts for this, my preference goes to the
overlayed icons for statuses, and the desaturated version for offline
icon.
Since i'm one of the picky guys when it comes to the iconsets, i will
certainly have a go at making a nice stellar base icon set.

As long as they're not red, draw attention, and have a sensible meaning,
i'm happy. I probably won't be able to provide nice animations, but i
will definitely have a shot at it in the future.
One thing: we better wait with designing animations until we agreed upon
the base iconset.
cheers,
