I agree, however, with (-: dave :-), in some way.

When I install a new version of a program I usually expect visual
improvements. For instance; I felt that OpenOffice had progressed when
I saw new icons in the toolbars. I didn't mind the functionalities:
the program was pretty complete before, and seemed to be the same to
me the next version.

What I mean with this is that the visual improvements have an effect
on the user: he feels like something has changed. I would have liked,
for instance, that 0.10 had brought the new "set status" mechanism
which was discussed here in the list (and I think Remko had already
developed). Or that the colours in the chat dialog were configurable.
Or that the history dialog had been "touched up"...

In fact, I was glad to see the roster had changed somehow.

P.D.: Sorry, I must have lost some previous discussion in the list,
but... why is not the crystal iconset Remko did the default one in
0.10?
