Hi,
In Jabber Council yesterday, the Jingle protocol was accepted as
standards-track. The Jingle protocol is the result of interactions
between various people in the Jabber community and the Google Talk
guys over the last months.

This is the spec upon which the Google Talk client will soon
converge, which basically means there is a spec for voice interop
between GT and other Jabber clients. As detailed in the JSF press
release above, lots of people have promised support for the Jingle
protocol in upcoming development, so in everyone's interests, I've
added Psi to this list as well. This is a pretty big deal and I hope
we'll be seeing open voice support across the Jabber world and beyond
soon. What this means for Psi itself shall become clear to us over
time but at this moment, I think we can safely say that the future
looks quite exciting.

Best,
/K
