No, it's not that simple. :)

I spent half of Saturday porting QCA and Iris to Qt 4 to work on Ambrosia.  
Even if you use the Qt 3 "compat" classes (which would amount to a lot of 
search & replace in the source code), there's still some fundamentals that 
are different.

So the changes are pretty significant.  You can't just compile an unmodified 
Qt 3 program against Qt 4.
