I did this only on my mac. And I don't publish my mac builds anywhere. My 
Psi/Win-CVS builds are vanilla CVS.

And the suspected code is the one that's responsible for eventqueue saving to 
disk on every eventqueue change. It wasn't wery speedy originally, and now it 
seems the things got worse. I still have to think about how to reorganize the 
code. Maybe storing each unread event as individual XML-file (opposed to one 
big XML file, as the things are now) would help to speed it up 
considerably...
