Description would be used in --help.
Yes, --version should also be added. It would not be a big change either.
I'm waiting for the patch to be reviewed and commented, in order to know which
parts should be changed (might be core). I'm in favor of small core changes
to be reviewed first and then extensions built on them.
The "framework" (if I may call it that way), even if it is a tiny class
implementation, is easily extensible. If there are problems with it, it can
be reworked all over, without having to propagate changes over to
dependencies.
