Do we need that special group at all? I have made a patch that allows to
set any contact's visibility on the roster by its JID. You can always
show them (even if offline) and always hide them (visibility is linked
with the "show hidden" setting). This way we could hide rarely used
contacts (whatever use this may have) and keep them sorted in the
present groups.
