Too much mIRC long time ago, and now AutoCopy extension to Firefox.
I had no choice but to write this:
AutoCopy on select - select the text to have it copied to clipboard.

AutoCopy works only in read-only text-boxes:
- - chat log
- - groupchat log
- - event dialog for incoming events/messages (*not* when composing)

Of course, there is on/off checkbox on Advanced tab.
