As a matter of fact, that's what happens under FVWM (i think it has 
something to do with WM hints not being taken by FVWM or so, i have to 
look into that), and i have to say, i don't like it at all. Part of it 
probably because of what IceRAM said, that i don't expect text to 
disappear while typing in an unrelated text box. Somehow it doesn't 
feel natural. I hope we can get the FVWM thing fixed (it might very 
well be a config setting of mine though, have to look into it).
