The reason is that windows is not resizing the windows the way I tell it to. 
This thing is not so easy to debug (or maybe I'm just not suitable for 
debugging under windows, who knows). 

Symptoms: After the call to QWidget::resize() the size is incorrect. This 
could be either Qt or Windows "feature", I don't know yet. And I'd like to 
fix it prior to 0.10 release :-/
