For those interested: i rewrote and improved the Mac OS X dock tile  
event count overlay thingy completely, and it just hit Darcs  
mainline, together with the dock bouncing settings. For those who  
want to test it, i updated my working copy:

Currently, the dock bounce behaviour has to be changed manually in  
config.xml (by setting <dock bounce="..."> to never, once or  
forever). An option will be added in the UI before 0.10.
