Speaking as the obvious non-dev here, let me say that I found the
darcs cmd-line client easier to use than the svn cmd-line client.  The
TortiseSVN client kicks ass if you want a GUI, but 'darcs get' was a
one step thing, hardly worth finding and installing a GUI, really. 
And the experience was the same on Windows and Linux.
