I would colour the background of the development forums/topics in RED, as
opposed to BLUE for normal topics. Visuals might make the users understand
that's DEVELOPMENT VERSION, or at least it could make them ask themselves why
everything there is RED.
At the same time, RED might scare people away... and force them to post on the
maillist (RED is not great for the eyes) :)
Well.. that's just a thought.

Besides this, this development forum would save me from pointing users to the
maillist. I read it all anyway.. and try to answer to as many as I can.
Something that shouldn't be forgotten: things said in the development forum
are subject to change. People reading that as a normal user might take that
as definitive, which is not the case.
