Wow, what a simple feature.  I bet something like Gammu makes that really
simple.

But really, what would be more interesting for something like Gaim would be a
plugin which also fetches the phonebook from the phone and dumps it in a group
on the roster, so that you don't have to bugger around adding the contacts to
the roster. :-)

FMA is indeed pretty good, but it really drains the battery on my 
phone.  While
I had my Palm unit I was able to send/receive SMS using that, and it never
drained my phone as fast as FMA.  Who knows what other stuff it's up to. :-)

But still, it's the easiest way to edit the phonebook on my phone.  Forget
Kontact and Troutlook and syncing... edit the damn thing directly, it's 
faster.
