Something comes to my mind... Way back when I got my new workstation at
work, I've installed Microsoft Office System 2003 and Outlook 2003 kept
starting IE instead of Firefox or Opera, no matter which one I've
selected to handle URLs.
I had to restore IE as default browser (Tools|Internet
Settings|Programs, look somewhere under those combo boxes), close IE,
ensure that IE is a default app for URLs (Start|Run, type some URL),
change default browser to other one. I'm not sure whether I did any
change in System Registry.
