[Psi-devel] libSM

I was building my brand new psi (from the mainline,
http://dev.psi-im.org/darcs/psi) and I got the following error:

psiapplication.cpp:35:26: error: X11/SM/SMlib.h: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [.obj/psiapplication.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/franqui/psi-dev/psi_0/src'
make: *** [sub-src-make_default] Error 2

I just installed the package libsm-dev in my Kubuntu and then it
worked fine. The thing is, should not configure have told me that I
had no libsm installed? I thought make is supposed to work fine if
configure runs sucessfully.
