This is exactly the same thing that's happening with Adhoc Commands.

 - Server/Transport developers are loathed to implement support,
because no clients have support.
 - Client developers are loathed to implement support, because no
servers/transports have support.

We need to break the cycle here, and implement standards, so that
others will follow suite.
