Hmm, forgot about *popup* menus. This indeed might explain it.

I understand the need of redesign (to make things better) in Qt4 but... it 
feels a little hackish to make a window a tooltip just because you don't want 
it to have focus.

Maybe there should be some other type of window in Qt4 to designate windows 
with nofocus?
