I'm not sure if gajim does this, but it would be preferred to disco
the connected server and see if there's a "local" proxy.  If it finds
something, it should prefer that over any 'list' that might get
bundled with Psi.

You might also disco the remote user's server, and see if there's one
there.  This way is harder, because it has to be done at FT time, not
log in.  Psi  also works around this already by allowing both parties
to try and connect at the same time, and the first valid connection
wins.
