[Psi-devel] Reverse mode for file transfer in Psi

Hi!

I am currently planning to implement offline file transfer in jabberd14
(i.e. senders being able to send files to the user's bare JID and the
server accepting the file transfer and resending the file to the user
when it gets online - later maybe even including a file transfer
protocol conversation).

I expect that a reverse mode would be very suggestive in that case (i.e.
being able that the server accepts a connection initiated by the server
of the file) because typically the server will not be behind a NAT box.
Therefore also allowing NATed clients not having a configured SOCKS5
proxy to still send files to the server.

Dark in my mind I remember, that I have heard about an own extension of
Psi to the old file transfer protocol that supports such a reverse mode.

Has this mode ever been implemented in Psi and is it still supported? If
yes, is there any documentation of this protocol available?

Matthias
