Right, it's correct, according to RFC3921: XMPP-IM, section 4. 
"Exchanging Messages", subsection 4.1. "Specifying an Intended 
Recipient". Nevertheless, it's somehow strange, as I would rather expect 
that after exchanging the first pair of <message> stanzas, both parties 
should use full JIDs.
