Well, there's the Qt Webkit which is under development at KDE at the
moment - the big problem there is that, while it currently doesn't
have any KDE dependencies (apart from the build process), there are
plans to make it depend upon KDE-specific features which makes it
useless to us. Otherwise it sounds perfect :/
On OSX it should be technically possible to embed an OSX Webkit
widget in the chat dialog. It's not particularly pretty, but it is
bordering on the possible - I had a look at it a while ago and
decided that with a better knowledge of obj-c and Cocoa I should be
able to have a go.
