I've seen this a few times on Windows XP Service Pack 2 (both Polish and
English); self-compiled Psi-Darcs (usually up-to-date; last time I did
see this behaviour was this week with source code from last weekend or
last Monday), compiler used: MinGW (gcc/g++-3.4.2), Qt-4.2.2. CPU usage
is normal at the time of freeze (but it may be caused by the computing
power of the CPUs - Pentium 4 845 3.6 GHz and Core 2 Duo T5500 1.6 GHz),
memory usage did not change.

The only thing I have noticed, that it happens more often when Psi is
not used for a long time, and I switch to Psi's chat dialog (it must've
been opened before) and try to type something into the edit box. If the
typed text does not appear immediately, then it's 99.9% probability that
Psi will freeze. But it unfreezes on her own within one minute.
