Maybe he could try Martin's Precompiled Linux build? It is there
somewhere  on sourceforge IIRC.

Also, maybe a more detailed msg, like what happens when he tries to
run psi as simple user (whats the error)? Maybe he compiled it in
someplace where normal users doesn't have perms... or compiled it as
root and the psi exec was put it /sbin which IIRC isn't in normal PATH
only of root  ... there are a million mistakes someone who is
compiling could make.

Maybe he could just try compiling in his own homedir without doing
make install. This is a all conjecture though, need a better
description IMHO.
