I have compoiled and built Psi, v0.11, RC1 from source as well as qca,
qca-openssl, qca-gnupg.
I installed them in a non-standard location. The compile was done without a
problem.

With this type of set-up I need to run Psi as root on
machines running FC5 with an i686 processor and FC6 with an x86_64
processor. However
a machine running FC6 with an i686 processor allows me to run Psi as any
ordinary user.

On the machines that require root to run Psi, the only error message I get
when I execute Psi from the command line is:

#./psi
"Qt: Session management error: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the
authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based
authentication failed"

If I run Psi as a regular user I do not get any error message. I only get
the tip window but not the actual Psi client window. I have checked
/var/log/messages and there is no error message in that file.

In order to check if permissions and ownership are an issue I did a chmod -R
my_user_id:my_user_id on Qt install directory and the PSI install directory.
This solved nothing.

I am open to any and all suggestions as to how to resolve this problem.

regards,

west
