but if XP goes to hibernate , and you power off ... wouldn't the
incoming connections themselves be refused??

I mean there is no OS now , nor is the system up ...

Reg. Suspend...

Have you kept the option for auto-idle set?
If the client goes to suspend, the client is still there , so I don't
think it should refuse connections.....

Still just curious....I haven't used XP for quite some time so am
probably talking through my hat.
