Well, don't use compact view then :-) The new non-compact view should
be very close to compact view these days, so there's not much reason
to not use it anymore.

Anyway, I don't have a real problem with status icons in the titlebar
i think, but beware that they are not visible on all platforms. This
is why i prefer the approach that puts the icon in the chat dialog.
