I think he meant 'Is it a bug that they do not linkify their sources'.
Technically, it's not a bug to not add link information to URIs, but
it's a shortcoming of Kopete that hurts all other clients (because
nobody can click on links coming from Kopete). I don't know if kopete
can already linkify urls based on text, but if they do, adding this
feature should be a matter of 3 lines of extra code. Someone should
probably file a feature request/bug report.

Adium used to do this as well, but I noticed that they are now
linkifying their URLs.
