You've never been able to _assign_ users to multiple groups using Psi,
but if you had done so using another client, Psi would display the
contacts as you would expect.  I don't recall however, what happens in
0.10 vs 0.11 when you reassign groups.  I would not be surprised to
find that it has always worked this same way.  Maybe as you say you've
got some contributed patch that was behaving differently.
