That's standard behavior at least on windows systems - don't know how 
this is handled on other systems.

Yes this sounds better to me than the one solution Norman explained [1], 
because with this solution, it would double necessary space in the 
context menu - this wouldn't be good, especially if you have many groups.

One comment to the lists: I would expect "standard windows 
behavior"/"standard list behavior in web" there: The selected list 
entries have another (blue) background color, selecting one entry 
automatically deselects all other. For selecting more than one group, 
you will have to press the [Ctrl] key.
