It is the default behavior of Konqueror (KDE filemanager), Explorer (MS 
Windows filemanager), Thunar (XFCE filemanager) and possibly for Gnome 
Nautilus when performing drag'n'drop operations on files. In all this cases a 
small indicator is added to cursor: "-" for moving and "+" for copying.
