I don't see why there is a need discussed on the list, the old patch has been 
discussed on the bug tracker.

The new patch, discussed on the forums, basically does it according to the 
comments on the old patch.

It is awfully hard to send a patch. The information on where to send it is 
different everywhere. The forums says that patches can go there, individual 
bug issues says patches should only go to the mailing list.

In an attempt to make it easy to submit bugs and patches, it actually turned 
out harder to submit them and also much harder to keep track on them because 
there are now atleast three different places to watch (flyspray, forum, 
list).

I suggest that all patches go to the bug tracker, it is after all a software 
specialized on that type of things, and get bug triagers to merge duplicates 
and verify bugs.
