In qca-gnupg's gpgop.cpp file, there should be this line on or around 1310:

  //printf("dtext ready: [%s]\n", qPrintable(s));

Uncomment this line (remove the first two slashes).  Then compile and install 
the qca-gnupg plugin again.  Then run Psi from a console.  Maybe there will 
be useful information in the console at the time of the hang.
