Is it possible to auto-join(on client-app startup) to different
conferences(chatrooms) from different client-apps, but using the same server
account?

That question can be expanded to:
is auto-join info is placed on server, or only client decides, which
conferences(MUC) to join on startup?

For me it will be comfort to join from my workplace to some conferences, but
from home i'm always need to go to other set of conferences, or join to them
with different nickname (indicating that i'm home :] )
