You have multiple choices - tell Psi to use a proxy, set a port
forward on your router and give Psi your external address, use a
routable IP, or only transfer files to contacts who have one of the
above.
It's not ideal, but at least the proxies make it bearable.

The code's not in Psi because it was never written, to the best of my
knowledge (I've never seen it, at least) - that student failed their
summer of code project.
