Hi,

Has the time zone bug fixed? I have tested Psi 0.13 RC 4 and it sill
seems to be there. The information how to fix has been posted in the
Psi forum but the link on the Web site is broken. I copied the info
below from Google cache.

Can you please apply Machekku's patches ???

Many thanks !!!
Michael

Subject: chat rooms; message times wrong
Already raised under Help and General Chat
(http://forum.psi-im.org/thread/5121) but thought I'd better add it
here so not forgotten.

(all versions upto and including 0.12)
Psi stores offset in hours, not in minutes and so when using timezones
which are not whole hours the timestamps of messages in chat rooms
(after closing and reopenning them) can be wrong (normally 30 minutes
old). The work-around is to use a timezone of whole hours. We are
hoping for a fix in 0.13.

AFAIR, Machekku has created a fix for that issue (it works for
Psi-0.11 and later).

In the original post (for which I provided a link) Machekku said "Yes,
there is a problem in Psi and timezones with offset being not full
hours. I started working on this some time ago - I guess it's time to
finish it now, for 0.13."

Guess the best thing for me to do is try the fix you linked to!

Cheers

I have been testing the following two patches (using Psi 0.11 source
code compiled on Windows XP). Both patches seem to be neccessary.

- Updated Delayed Delivery: XEP-0203
(http://machekku.uaznia.net/xmpp/psi/patches/psi-machekku-u
 ) alone
did not work (multiply by 3600 instead of 60 did not make a
difference)

- Entity Time Support: XEP-0090, XEP-0202
(http://machekku.uaznia.net/xmpp/psi/patches/psi-machekku-e
 )

Will do a bit more testing next week and will also check Katmandu
(GMT+05:45) time zone ;-)

Thanks Machekku !

It works great. I have uploaded the patched version of Psi 0.12 for
Windows to Rapidshare

Displaying the local entity's time is a cool feature. I am hoping that
you'll add it to 0.13.
