OK, the 1st case is occurring (no <status> sent when going online
manually), meaning that psi is not the culprit here.
I tried forcing an empty status message using an Online preset that I
would invoke manually when switching back to Online mode, but
apparently it doesn't work (if status is "" then it is not used at all?)
The only solution I could find is to restart psi.
