[Psi-Devel] Qt 4.7.1 backspace issue

Hi,

there was a fix for a "crash on backspace" recently[1] and another commit
that set a compile condition for that version[2].

Because this issue affects Lokalize (the translation application from KDE)
as well, there was quite some pressure to have an upstream fix[3] being
backported to 4.7.1 packages.

As a result, some of the distro's packages now contain this fix.

As a side note it seems that the fix brings new issues (not all characters
that seem to be removes from the end of the string with backspace, are
properly deleted)[4].

I do not know if the situation with the backported fix affects Psi. I just
wanted to inform you that 4.7.1 from distros might act differently with
this respect.

If you have a clear test case for this problem, it would also be nice if
you could attach it to http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTBUG-15659
