That's not a hex colour input box, that's a box to enter the 'name'  
of the colour. The box on the right shows the color you selected  
(after clicking that box). But i can see where the confusion comes  
from, for some reason the text '#FFFFFF' gets filled in the name box,  
which i think it was destined for the colour box. I will fix that.

The button has effect on 0.11, provided that the file in the box on  
the left exists. I suspect this to be the same for 0.10, so check if  
the selected file really exists.
I recall to have fixed some bugs in there for 0.11, though, but i  
don't recall whether it were Qt4 issues, or real bugs in that dialog.
